- Team members who are responsible for the implementation projects in Financials
- System managers and developers who are responsible for customer- specific reports and programming in Financials. Application consultants and instructors
Prerequisites: Essential Recommended
Goals - Improve knowledge of programming and train using case studies. Customize the SAP system for each customer, with and without modifications.
- Use BAdI interfaces and reporting tools.
- The participants will be given an overview of the ABAP Workbench.
- They will get knowledge of the areas where an application consult will come in contact with ABAP Workbench.
- The will get to understand the Object-oriented programming
- They will learn how to implement Business Add-Ins(BADI’s)
Course Based on Software Release
Content - Basic concepts of the ABAP workbench and ABAP dictionary
- Debugging and testing
- Reporting using the SAP List Viewer (ALV)
- Function modules in template allocation technology
- Programs on master data maintenance, status monitoring, and period end closings
- To get an overview of the architecture
- Gain an understanding of the ABAP programming language and the program structure
- Get to know how the Debugger works
- To understand the function of ABAP Dictionary and it’s relation to the Data models and the Database management system
- How to use Functionmodules
- How to work in ABAP Editor, ABAP Dictionary, Screen-painter and the Functionbuilder
- Create reports by ALV(SAP List Viewer)
- Understand Object-oriented programming
- How to implement Business Add-Ins(BADI’s)
- Understand how Customer Enhancements work
Notes - The functions of the following SAP releases are also covered in this course: R/3 4.6, R/3 Enterprise Ext. 1.10/ 2.00, SAP ERP Central Component 5.0.
- The content of this course is not relevant to Delta ABAP. This course is only offered in the Nordics.
