Key features and functions include:

  • Business content – A business-user-driven data model provides more than 150 out-of-the-box analysis and performance metrics to surface savings opportunities and critical business insights.
  • Data extraction and transformation – Quickly extract spend data from SAP and non-SAP data sources, and transform that information into business value.
  • Data aggregation, classification, normalization, validation, and enrichment – Link spend data across business data views; normalize, validate, and enrich supplier data; and assign a goods and services classification structure.
  • Identification of savings opportunities – Present savings potential, contract leakage, supplier risk, and supplier rationalization opportunities to procurement staff.
  • Supplier risk management – When coupled with SAP BusinessObjects Risk Management, the application helps you proactively identify if a supplier is at risk, and analyze associated spend volume and critical spend factors in order to determine, prioritize, and establish mitigation action.
  • Ad hoc analysis with external factors – Business-user-driven self-service analysis of company-wide spend data, combined with external market factors, allows intuitive visualization and creation of reports, dashboards, and metrics.
  • Collaboration and briefing book – Capture snapshots of spend and savings opportunities and collaborate with key stakeholders.
  • Trade cost and import compliance management – The application can be deployed together with SAP BusinessObjects Global Trade Services to enable debarred supplier visibility and total landed cost calculations, as well as visibility into global trade agreements.
  • Strategic sourcing – The application is a strategic enabler of sourcing initiatives and is integrated with SAP E-Sourcing to launch sourcing initiatives from savings opportunities, compliance leakage, and supplier risk insights surfaced by analyzing company-wide spend patterns.
