SAP NEWSBYTE - August 21, 2009 - Banco de Crédito Colombia – Helm Financial Services, a member of the Helm Financial Services Group with 39 offices throughout the country and international operations in Venezuela, Panama, and the U.S., went live with the flagship enterprise resource planning (ERP) application, SAP® ERP, at the start of 2009. In parallel, and in order to meet the challenge of continuing to renew the bank’s technology while at the same time maintaining its traditional high service levels and low maintenance costs, the implementation project for the SAP® for Banking solution portfolio and the SAP® Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) application was also commenced earlier this year.
The bank chose SAP software because, unlike other suppliers in the market, it offers the advantage of a unified, service-orientated technology architecture. Banks can implement SAP for Banking both as a set and as modules and can integrate them with its legacy systems.
When the Banco de Crédito Colombia – Helm Financial Services chose SAP, it met its goal of having a single platform that fully integrates with each of its components and eliminates the possible hidden costs of the application integration process.
