Geraldine McBride has been President of SAP Asia Pacific Japan (“APJ”) since January 2007, responsible for SAP APJ operations in the region widely regarded as SAP's global growth engine. Since assuming the role, this region has more than doubled in size.
McBride joined SAP in 1994 and has successfully driven a global portfolio of leadership roles, including: CEO and Managing Director, SAP Australia and New Zealand; Senior Vice President and General Manager, SAP America (Head of Sales - Consumer and Manufacturing); Managing Director, SAP New Zealand; as well as Director of Sales, SAP South Africa.

Acknowledged as a global business leader, McBride was cited by US magazine Chief Executive (2008), as one of 12 executives who are “reshaping global commerce and forging the global economy”. She is in regular demand on the external speaking circuit, principally noted for her compelling views on technology and its role in sustainable development of the planet.
After graduating from New Zealand’s Victoria University with a degree in Natural Sciences, McBride commenced her technology industry career with IBM New Zealand in 1984.
McBride is a regular World Economic Forum (2008) invitee and has held a variety of external Directorships throughout her career. McBride also sponsors SAP’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, leading employees across the region to make a positive contribution to the community in which they work, live and play.
