Upgrade Business Manager (f/m) for Upgrade Competency Centre SAP EMEA
Purpose and objective of the job
The newly founded Global Upgrade Office (GUO) is a global, cross Functional team within Customer Solutions Operations (CSO), which is currently set up to support the SAP new release strategy road map towards enterprise SOA. The team will establish a center of expertise for the upgrade topic, drive a coherent set up of products, tools and services for our customers/partners and ensure a consistent and compelling message to the markets.
Within the GUO the regional Upgrade Competence Center (UCC) acts as interface between the global GUO core team and the regions. The Upgrade Business Manager will directly report to the head of the regional UCC.
Education and qualifications / skills and competencies
- Able to manage or work effectively in a complex matrix environment with virtual teams of high-level professionals
- Strong pre-sales and value engineering skills
- Strong in project management. Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills
- Expertise in upgrade tools and methodologies (technical and/or business). Should have been exposed to, managed and/or performed upgrades of productive systems
- Excellent communication & presentation skills(English)
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation and writing skills to successfully interact with subordinates, colleagues and other involved parties
- Creativity and imagination to establish high-professional support processes for the market
Expectations and tasks of the job
- Supports AEs and CEMs in positioning of the ERP upgrade topic in selected strategic accounts across the whole engagement lifecycle.
- Shapes specific value propositions and provides 'mini upgrade business cases' for selected strategic accts.
- Supports/enables local alliance management in dedicated strategic partner engagements.
- Supports upgrade events in the region
- Acts as upgrade subject matter expert across whole customer and partner engagement life-cycle.
- Takes an active part within the project definition and delivery phase of selected strategic customer engagements (e.g. project set up, quality assurance, coordination of services)
- Supports case studies or the creation of references.
- Key liaison with all involved internal organizations in the area of ERP upgrade (e.g. Virtual Account Teams, Professional Services Organisation, Value Engineering, Active Global Support, Global Delivery etc.).
- Supports the dissemination of upgrade knowledge into the regional Field Organization (e.g. roll-out of upgrade materials, supports trainings)
Work experience
- We are looking for highly-motivated, ambitious applicants with at least 5 years of experience in relevant work areas
