Head of Knowledge Management FS - EMEA NEWS
Purpose and objective of the job
Working closeley with the Head of FS Operations you will be responsible for developing and managing the Knowledge Management area of Field Services EMEA NEWS as an integrated part of the Business Excellence FS NEWS is striving for.
You will also be responsible for making Knowledge Managment a key lever to increase overall Maturity of the all the Market Units from a Business Excellence Point of View.
The position will act in the EMEA NEWS FS Operations Team as a fundamental part of "Business Excellence"-Management. Strong interaction with heterogeneous networks both on regional level and across the respective Market Units within NEWS will be required. Ability to work in a virtual, matrix driven, organization is key.
Education and qualifications / skills and competencies
- Able to work in a virtual organization
- Openness for Cultural differences and Diversity of NEWS region
- Strong Communication skills (oral and written)
- Analytical Thinking
- Ability to build the future while having a strong Operational drive
- Fluency in English, 2nd and 3rd languages seen as an advantage but not essential.
Expectations and tasks of the job
The successful candidate’s main activities will be:
Knowledge Management
- Develop Knowledge Management concept for FS NEWS in close cooperation with Global Knowledge Management
- Provide governance for Knowledge Management within FS NEWS
- Roll-In Tools and Methodologies from Global Knowledge Management
- Disseminate Global Tools and Methodologies within the respective Market-Units of NEWS
- Establish a KM-community within FS NEWS
- Roll-Out Regional and Market-Unit requirements towards the Global KM organization
- Coordinate Knowledge Management across the respective Business Areas within FS NEWS
- Manage "Content Administration" for FS BA Operations
- Provide Content for FS Operations
Ensuring Business Excellence within Field Services Organisation
- Participate in Market-Unit Maturity Assessments organized by Business Excellence Team.
- Conduct Maturity Workshops as part of Concrete action plans in increasing Market-Unit Maturity
- Disseminate Best Practices across Market-Units
- Manage strategic / operational business change processes
People Management
- Manage regional "Business Excellence Team" with focus on Knowledge Management, Process/Business Excellence and Business Support Systems.
- Manage counterparts responsible for "Business Excellence" within Market-Units.
Work experience
- Proficient experience in Consulting Business
- Conceptual view on Knowledge Management
- Strong Focus / Experience on Process Excellence
- Strong Inter-relational skills for interacting with different departments
