Follow these seven steps to configure your individual SAP Integrated Business Planning application:
Step 1: Planning area
Create a data model that includes master data attributes, planning levels, and key figure definitions.
Step 2: Data integration
Load your master data and transactional data to SAP Integrated Business Planning, either by uploading CSV files, by using SAP HANA Cloud Integration, or by using SAP HANA Smart Data Integration. (See the chapter on "Technical Integration" for more information.)
Step 3: Dashboards
Analyse your end-to-end supply chain by creating your own analytics metrics and dashboards.
Step 4: Planning views
Gain deep insight into your data by setting up planning views in Microsoft Excel. You can also create favourites and templates.
Step 5: Planning models
Set up your planning framework, settings and models to run supply planning, demand planning, response planning, or inventory
optimisation as simulations or background jobs in Microsoft Excel.
Step 6: Exception management
Set up alerts, cases, and tasks to form your end-to-end exception management process.
Step 7: Social collaboration
Set up the SAP Jam social collaboration platform (optional). See the chapter on "Technical Integration" for more information.
