Basic Training
As a part of basic training, the courses TSCM40 (Planning/Manufacturing I) and TSCM42 (Planning/Manufacturing II (incl. Case Study)) provide information about business processes for planning and manufacturing for production companies.
In the course TSCM40 (Planning/Manufacturing I) you will become familiar with the master data required for production (material masters, bills of material, work centers, task lists, and production resources and tools) and their management, as well as concepts and business processes in the various planning areas. The course covers the processes of production planning using material requirements planning (Module PP-MRP) and the extended production and detailed planning (APO-PP/DS) by giving a range of examples. The different planning strategies for creating a product roadmap will also be covered. Possible evaluation methods for evaluating planning results are also given. Knowledge of data exchange between the SAP ECC (previously R/3) system and the SAP SCRM system is required for use of SCM (APO). Against this background, the Core Interface APO is discussed as part of planning.
In the course TSCM42 (Planning/Manufacturing II (incl. Case Study)) you will become familiar with the different options for controlling production, including order-oriented production with production or process orders, repetitive manufacturing, kanban production control, and pre-manufacture of production lots. These functions provide effective support at all stages of the production process, including material procurement, sequencing, creation of production documents, confirmation, goods receipt, and settlement of production activities. The focus is on managing production orders. The other options are briefly covered.
The course also includes a case study that allows you to use your new knowledge and set up integrated, predefined business processes. The course ends with a certification examination to become a certified Solution Consultant SCM - Planning/Manufacturing with mySAP ERP 2005.
