종근당, SAP 솔루션으로 제약업계 규제 대응

Seoul - 2009년 10월 20일 - SAP 코리아(대표 형원준, www.sap.com/korea)는 오늘 종근당(대표이사 사장 김정우, www.ckdpharm.com)이 SAP ERP 시스템을 구축한다고 밝혔다.
세계적 수준의 기술력과 생산시설을 갖춘 국내 대표 제약기업 종근당은 기존 솔루션으로는 국제회계기준(IFRS) 대응 및 글로벌 경쟁력을 갖추는 데 한계가 있다고 판단하고 글로벌 선진 시스템인 SAP 솔루션 구축을 결정했다.
종근당은 SAP 솔루션을 활용해 제약업계가 당면한 대표적 규제인 cGMP 컴플라이언스와 IFRS에 대해 종합적이고 적극적으로 대응할 전략이다. cGMP는 ‘선진국 수준의 우수의약품 제조 및 품질관리’ 기준을 뜻하는 말로, 지난해 전문의약품을 대상으로 첫 도입됐다. 올해부터는 일반의약품으로 확대 시행되고 있으며, 내년에는 원료의약품까지 적용될 예정이다.
종근당 관계자는 “대형 글로벌 제약기업과 경쟁하기 위해 선진 시스템 도입이 요구됐고, 따라서 SAP 시스템 구축 프로젝트 추진을 결정했다”고 밝혔다. 그는 또 “제약업계는 cGMP를 기본 모델로 법규화되고 있는 KGMP 컴플라이언스 준수가 시급한 상황이다. SAP ERP가 ▲일반 요구사항 ▲기준정보 ▲원자재관리 및 식별 ▲제조 프로세스 ▲품질분석 프로세스 ▲배치관리 및 전자 제조지시 ▲밸리데이션(Validation)과 자격증명(Qualification)에 대한 규정을 이미 시스템에 반영했기 때문에 이에 대한 대응이 가능하다”고 덧붙였다.
SAP 코리아 형원준 사장은 “자유무역협상(FTA)이 진전됨에 따라 유럽계 제약사들은 물론 미국 제약사들의 국내진출이 더욱 활발해 질 것으로 예상된다. 국내 제약업체들이 이들과 경쟁하려면 글로벌 선진 시스템 도입이 절실한 상황”이라며, “SAP가 보유한 선진 프로세스와 베스트 프랙티스를 통해 국내 기업의 글로벌 경쟁력 강화에 최선을 다할 것”이라고 강조했다.
