SAP for High Tech
RosettaNet
RosettaNet is an independent, self-funded, non-profit consortium dedicated to the development and deployment of standard electronic commerce interfaces. These standards form a common e-business language, aligning processes between supply chain partners on a global basis. More than 400 companies in the areas of information technology, electronic components, and semiconductor manufacturing, as well as solution providers, participate in the consortium.
SAP and RosettaNet
SAP is a founding member of RosettaNet and is represented on the consortium's Information Technology and Solution Provider board. SAP is aligning business processes and solutions to RosettaNet requirements and can help companies achieve RosettaNet compliance through:
- SAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure (XI) as XML-based message broker supporting RosettaNet Implementation Framework (RNIF) 1.1 and 2.0 protocols
- SAP's Business Package for RosettaNet, offering prebuilt integration scenarios that enable out-of-the-box communication between RosettaNet partner interface processes (PIPs) and SAP back-end systems
- Support of Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS), Global Trade Item Number (GTIN), and RosettaNet Technical Dictionary (RNTD)
- SAP's cross-industry program and partner ecosystem for implementing industry standards to support collaborative business processes
- Consulting services to help customers implementing RosettaNet PIPs
