To highlight pioneering use of its software solutions among Indian customers, in 2006 SAP introduced an annual award series that would recognize Indian businesses demonstrating innovative use of technology for outstanding business transformation. SAP ACE (Awards for Customer Excellence) is an annual benchmark event organized by SAP India to celebrate customer excellence. The first edition of SAP ACE was instituted on the occasion of SAP completing a decade of operations in India in 2006. SAP ACE has become an annual barometer of how best to utilize the power of SAP solutions to enable business competitiveness. In only its second avatar in 2007, SAP ACE has already become one of the sought after and well recognized customer-focused awards in India.
The awards are a re-affirmation of the long term commitment of SAP to the deep customer partnerships in the Indian Subcontinent. The nominations highlight rich participation from companies of all sizes – with revenues ranging from less than Rs. 20 Crores to the largest companies in the Indian Sub continent. Corporates across diverse businesses like garments, retail, telecom, construction, consumer goods, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, steel & oil producers, energy, utilities, IT/ITES have enthusiastically participated in SAP ACE. The nominations also include a rich spread of projects across diverse verticals like HR, SCM, NetWeaver & BI implementations, and managing growth across many diversified businesses.
