  • Ravi Chauhan

    Managing Director, SAP Indian Subcontinent

    Ravi Chauhan

    Ravi Chauhan is Managing Director of SAP India, based in Bangalore. He assumed the role in April 2014 and oversees SAP’s business in India.

    Ravi brings close to three decades of wide-ranging IT industry and management experience to SAP, with a track record of increasing market share, winning key customers and leading effective teams. Ravi joins SAP after four years at Juniper Networks, where he served as Managing Director, India and South Asia.

    From 2000 to 2009, Ravi held key leadership roles at Nortel Networks including global General Manager for Nortel`s enterprise software business, where he was responsible for global profit & loss for the unit and managed R&D and sales professionals across the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific. As Managing Director for Nortel India, Ravi grew the business significantly and received the firm’s global “CEO Leadership and Execution Award,” among other awards.

    Ravi holds degrees from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, in Electronics and Telecommunications. He is highly regarded as a thought leader in the industry and is frequently quoted in market commentary.

  • Deb Deep Sengupta

    Chief Operating Officer, SAP Indian Subcontinent

    Deb Deep Sengupta

    Deb Deep Sengupta is the Chief Operating Officer ( COO ) for SAP Indian Subcontinent. He was appointed to this position in 2013, and is responsible for all aspects of SAP’s operations in India, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka. The role provides leadership and direction to SAP’s multi-functional sales and operations organizations in India, driving continuous productivity improvements and significantly contributing to the achievement of revenue and profitability objectives.

    Deep has a track record of 20 years of leading successful business operations. He has been an integral part of SAP’s Leadership team in India for the last decade, which has played significant role in SAP’s growth story and success in India. Deep most recently held the position of Vice President for Integrated Large Enterprise Business. In this role Deep more than doubled the size of SAP’s Enterprise business to 60% of India’s total software revenues as his leadership team built executive relationship, reach and coverage for SAP’s largest customers in India.

    Prior to this, Deep was responsible for building the SME & Channels business and team for SAP India. During this period SAP had acquired 3500 + SME customers in India & Sub Continent and also built a solid channels & partner eco system. SAP’s SME business in India was rated amongst the Top 3 SME business’s within SAP Globally, in terms of key metrics like revenue contribution, profitability, customer & partner satisfaction. Deep had started his career in SAP, as an Industry Sales Director for Manufacturing Industries in 2000.

    Before joining SAP, Deep has held various Sales Management and leadership roles in IBM, and formerly Digital Equipment Corporation ( a HP company ).

    Vice President – Strategic Industries, SAP Indian Subcontinent

    Mathew Thomas

    Mathew Thomas is the Vice President - Strategic Industries at SAP India. His role encompasses Public Utilities, Government (State, Central, Defense,) and Banking and Financial Services Industry. In his current capacity, Mathew is responsible for all market-facing activities across this portfolio.

    Prior to this role, Mathew spearheaded the Alliances & Partner Ecosystem team at SAP India and was involved in setting up and managing the team from inception

    With over 18 years of experience in the Information Technology industry, Mathew has held various senior positions at top IT companies, including Oracle and Wipro Infotech.

    As a part of his previous assignments, Mathew has had experience in setting up and leading new initiatives, which have been growth drivers for the organizations.

    Mathew holds a degree in Mechanical engineering from the University of Madras. His interests include fitness and working with socially underprivileged sections of society.

    Head-Business User & Platform group, SAP Indian Subcontinent

    Maneesh Sharma

    Maneesh Sharma is Head – Business Analytics & Technology, SAP India. He is responsible for driving the growth strategy and operations of SAP Business Analytics suite of products comprising of Business Intelligence, Enterprise Performance Management, Data warehousing, In-Memory Computing and Governance, Risk & Compliance solutions in India. He also leads the SAP NetWeaver technology platform group that helps customers accelerate business innovation and efficiency through strategic IT solutions.

    With over 14 years of experience, Maneesh has an impressive track record of establishing, nurturing and growing the SAP NetWeaver Technology & Applications Business portfolio. In his previous role at SAP, he was also responsible for managing business relationship with premier strategic customers of SAP.

    Maneesh holds a Management degree from IIM Bangalore and has done his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from REC Surat.

    Head of Marketing, SAP Indian Subcontinent

    Rajesh Kumar

    Rajesh Kumar is the Head of Marketing for SAP India. In this role, he is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for SAP to establish its leadership as the trusted enterprise application provider to India Inc.

    Rajesh joined SAP in 2010 and currently leads SAP’s go to market strategy and execution across industries, Line of Business, Business Analytics and Technology, SME, Channels, On Demand portfolio, Services and Integrated Marketing Communications.

    Prior to joining SAP, Rajesh was associated with Microsoft India for 9 years, in various leadership roles. An industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in sales & marketing across technology, internet, consumer goods and industrial machinery, Rajesh has been involved with various organizations, including Perfetti, HCL & Seagram.

    Rajesh holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (1988) from NIT Kurukshetra, and a Masters degree in Business Management from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (1994).

    Vice President & Chief of Staff, SAP Indian Subcontinent

    Rajamani Srinivasan

    Rajamani Srinivasan is the Vice President and Chief of Staff, SAP Indian Subcontinent. He is accountable for driving Business Strategy, Customer success, and Business Transformation of SAP India across various business functions. Rajamani has been with SAP India for the past 6 years and has played multiple Leadership roles responsible for Sales, Presales and Business Development.

    Rajamani brings with him more than 24 years of experience, as a trusted IT advisor to many large organisations and a speaker in industry and global events. He joined SAP in 2007 and has played a critical role in significantly contributing and driving the company’s revenues and growth in the region. He has worked in Manufacturing, Financial Services, Consumer Products, International Trading and IT Industries, prior to joining SAP. His work experience cuts across multiple countries in Asia Pacific.

    Previously, Rajamani held senior positions at Oracle, Coca-Cola India, Ramco systems, Watanmal Trading, India Cements Capital & Finance and Kunal Engineering.

    Rajamani holds a ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and a ICWA from the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI). He enjoys writing poetry in his native language and enjoys reading about World History, Religions & civilizations, in addition to well-researched Management topics in HBR. He is a guest lecturer in Management Institutes, covering topics around IT and Management. He derives inspirations from yoga and spirituality and is a cricket fan. He is part of the Organising committee for SAP sponsored Cricket tournaments and also plays cricket whenever time permits.

    He has held leadership positions and been in functional business roles in large, medium and small sized MNC’s and Indian organizations, at various phases of their lifecycle. His experience spans across the entire spectrum of Information Technology solutions – from the complex mission critical applications to standard packaged productivity solutions.

    He has been an innovative and results-oriented leader with experience in building and managing businesses in the IT industry, focused on achieving exceptional results in highly competitive environments – driving revenue, margins and market-share growth.

    Beginning his career in 1991, he has held management positions in organizations like ITC, Oracle, Vignette, SAP, IBM and Microsoft. As a business leader, he has led the transformations of the application business in Microsoft and Oracle and as a sales leader he has built and led high performing sales teams through his career.

    He has built new businesses, led transformations and demonstrated strong industry relationships. He has an in-depth understanding of the Indian market and has worked closely with large Indian system integrators. He has helped build channel strategies and created distribution channels to drive multi-tier sales engines. He has also had the opportunity to define marketing strategies to build brand visibility and drive opportunity creation.

    Known for his strategic thinking and execution focus, he has inspired trust, built teams and motivated people to perform and deliver results. With his single minded focus on customer satisfaction & quality of service, he has seen his businesses regularly recognized for customer and partner satisfaction.

    Subhomoy Sengupta is a management graduate from IIM Calcutta and an Electronics Engineer from IIT Kharagpur. He currently lives in Delhi with his wife Mitul and teen-aged son Shayon.
