SAP Research & Innovation Award India
In 2008 SAP Research, the global research department of SAP, in collaboration with SAP Labs India, had invited faculty members of Indian Universities to submit research proposals and awarded the 1st SAP Research & Innovation Award India research grants to the top 5 succeeding projects selected through a highly competitive process. IIT Bombay, IIIT Delhi, BITS Pilani, XLRI Jamshedpur and PESIT Bangalore are the recipients of these project awards and these projects are currently under execution.
SAP Research is now pleased to announce the SECOND round of SAP Research & Innovation Award India.
SECOND ROUND Awards decided -- We have received a large number of proposals, called for the detailed proposals and evaluated them. On April 1 the FIVE winning proposals have been notified.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS - CLOSED
SAP Research, the global research department of SAP, invites faculty members & research staff of Indian Universities to submit proposals for the
2nd SAP Research & Innovation Award India
The award includes research grants for the top 5 successful proposals to be selected in a competitive process that will be conducted as follows:
After the initial round of submitting a brief project abstract via online submission (stage 1), the most promising of the received proposals will be asked to submit a full project proposal (stage 2). The final winners will be chosen by a committee of SAP research experts from this set.
Up to 5 of the presented proposals will be awarded the 2
nd SAP Research & Innovation Award India and receive funding from SAP Research to the tune of Ten Lakh Rupees.

Research grant details
The 2nd SAP Research & Innovation Award India is a research grant of Ten Lakh Rupees for research projects at Indian universities and research institutes. The projects should not exceed 12 months duration and should fall into one of the research categories mentioned above. The projects will be conducted on the premises of the university / research institute, SAP Research will offer collaborative support for the projects and possible continuing cooperation following the end of the project.
Important Dates
- Submission deadline for stage 1 (project abstract): 15th January 2010
- Notification of acceptance for stage 1: 1st February 2010
- Submission deadline for stage 2 (full proposals): 7th March 2010
- Notification of acceptance of winning proposals: 1st April 2010
