SAP Labs Hungary is also home to the biggest development group in the area of composite application development at SAP. Our mission is to assemble complete industry applications based on industry, generic, and partner applications. Industry Development demonstrates thought leadership about ESA (Enterprise Services Architecture) by developing critical industry-specific applications and building a healthy industry ecosystem for the SAP platform. Our applications are built with the most recent state-of-the- art technology. They support the key business processes of our customers and enable our customers to exploit the benefits of software and technology for their own competitive benefit.
Industry Applications - Development Area Manufacturing Industries - in Budapest covers two areas: the Industry Composite Development Program (iCOD) and the Dealer Business Management (DBM).
Industry Composite Development Program (iCOD)
This group pilots the development of composite applications within the area Industry Applications and acts as a competence center for composite development technologies. Composite Applications are highly dynamic and adaptable applications that automate business scenarios and/or user specific processes spanning multiple functional areas, and are assembled using reusable services from existing packaged and custom built applications. Main characteristic of the Program is the using of the newest SAP NetWeaver technologies, model-driven development tools and agile development methodologies.
Dealer Management
SAP Dealer Business Management lets independent, dealer-group, and company-owned dealers manage inventory, marketing, finance, and new and used vehicle sales. Integrated with the SAP ERP application, it provides support for every function of a dealers operation, including:
- Customer management
- Vehicle sales and administration
- Vehicle service
- Parts management
It can handle a variety of after-sales service activities synchronizing service schedules with available resources, booking service tools and workshop equipment, and ensuring that parts are available when needed while offering value-added complementary services such as extended warranties, insurance coverage, and financing.
