SAP user groups are independent, not-for-profit organizations of SAP customer companies, and partners dedicated to educate members, enable customer involvement, and influence SAP's strategy. Today, global user groups span 30 unique chapters across 6 continents – these groups help approximately 120,000 individual members to achieve their business goals.

Voice of the Customer

SAP has a dedicated team that actively seeks customer insights, then transforms them into strategy and execution – and facilitates industry-leading user group activities in these ways:

  • Help SAP customers get the most out of their investments
  • Accelerate the customer experience of solution and product adoption
  • Offer direct access to SAP solutions, regardless of company size or location
  • Establish benchmarking and share best practices
  • Tap into a vast network of SAP professionals to enrich user group members' professional development

User Group Facts and Figures

User groups provide the following resources for SAP customers:

  • More than 30 active, independent, customer user groups exist across 6 continents, with approximately 8,000 companies and almost 120,000 individual members.
  • User group events offer education, influencing, and networking opportunities to thousands of individuals each year in locations around the world – such as large-scale events like the Americas SAP Users Group (ASUG) annual conference, the Vereniging Nederlandstalige SAP Gebruikers (VNSG) Congress in the Netherlands, and the Deutschsprachige SAP-Anwendergruppe (DSAG) Annual Congress in Germany, as well as CIO events, Webinars, working group sessions, and focus group sessions.
  • Local user groups issue several publications and targeted newsletters.
  • Numerous industry-specific, solutions-interest groups and technology-interest groups also exist.

Many User Groups Speak with One Voice Globally

To unite the voices of regional user groups and to consolidate insight on strategy and execution, the SAP User Group Executive Network (SUGEN) consists of 12 groups across 6 continents. SUGEN is independent, yet is sponsored and actively supported by Léo Apotheker, CEO of SAP AG. Check out more than 30 active customer user groups worldwide.
