    • It's a company that recently merged from two old competing groups. One group called Aarhus United and another group called Karlshamn. Both companies are in the business of producing food ingredients, as we produce ingredients for food manufacturers. We wanted to get to a situation where we could show one face to the customer very, very quickly. And that's, one way of doing that was to reorganize our sales organization so we would have global sales organization. SAP NetWeaver was the solution of choice in this scenario because, well, we were familiar with the SAP tools already. And having SAP, it's very nice if you can get tools that integrate into your whole platform environment very easily. And that's why we like SAP, because they not only deliver the technical tools but they also deliver, for instance, data models in the tools that is very useful. So, for instance, selecting MDM, you not only get a tool that is very useful when it comes to managing the master data, but you also get preloaded data models in the tool that can speed up your development process quite a bit. One major driver for implementing or for going for harmonized customer master data solution was that we need to support some very critical business processes in our industry. One of them is being able to do a very fast price quotation. So before we actually had this NetWeaver solution in place, including the MDM solution, the salesmen ended up spending quite a lot of time calling their colleagues in other countries for having help with calculating prices, which obviously made the process very slow. So now it has speeded up this process considerably. And we actually estimated how much sale that we were going to lose during to have this slow quotation process before, and its quite substantial numbers. So the payback on a solution like this was almost, we were talking months. We also have a number of upcoming products that involve integration with our customers. And to do that, we need to have our own data sorted out before we can actually go into the process of integrating with our customers. And well, some of our major customers are not only asking if we can do it, they actually are making it mandatory these days. That if you want the sale, then you must be able to integrate with us this in this way. And here it's actually very, very good to find that many of these integration scenarios we're looking at are covered throughout the whole NetWeaver stack, including MDM. We believe that this solution will definitely give us a competitive advantage. Because having this technology in place, the whole NetWeaver stack, including MDM, enabled us to do a lot faster integration not only internally, for instance when we acquire new companies, but also externally to our customers. And we know we are more prepared to do that than many of our competitors. So we will be able to do the integration with our customers before many of our competitors, which obviously is a major competitive advantage.
