Code of Business Conduct for Employees

SAP's Code of Business Conduct for Employees (PDF, 358 KB) is a statement of our commitment to safeguarding our investors and customers against unfair competitive practices, corruption, or misleading statements. The code is binding for all employees and sets the standard for all dealings with customers, partners, competitors, and vendors.

Adopted by the SAP Executive Board on January 29, 2003, the Code of Business Conduct for Employees puts into words the existing guidelines and regulations for business practice at SAP. Employees are asked to reaffirm their commitment to the code annually.

To accommodate the differences in culture, language, and legal systems, SAP has established a master code, defining minimum standards, as a framework. Each subsidiary of SAP must adopt a code that meets these minimum standards. Where appropriate in a local context, a code may include stricter guidelines, more far-reaching requirements, or more detailed instructions. No code can contradict the established framework, and the approval of the Global Compliance Coordination Committee is required before dissemination.
