Andy Roddick claimed his 30th ATP tour title by winning the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships in Memphis. Defeating the SAP Open champion and fellow SAP ambassador Milos Raonic in three sets, 7-6 (7), 6-7 (11), 7-5, Andy has now become the third active player on the ATP World Tour to win 30 or more career singles titles.
Former World No. 1, Andy was playing in his 50th tour-level final and clinched the first set in a tie break, when he was narrowly edged out by Raonic in the second set tie break. However, Andy clinched victory with a dramatic diving shot, avoiding a third consecutive tie break.
Roddick recently began his clay court campaign at the Madrid Masters, where he was defeated in the first round by Flavio Cipolla in 3 sets, 4-6, 7-6(7), 3-6. Andy is next in action at the Rome Masters, which begins on May 9.
Everyone at SAP is proud to support Andy Roddick. We congratulate him on an excellent win and wish him luck in pursuit of another grand slam title.
