SAP: Keynote Presentation Webcast -- Data Awareness

In the 1980’s, Alvin Toffler described a theory of societal evolution as one that can be represented as a series of patterns or “waves”. The first wave represented an agricultural age, the second wave an industrial age, and the third wave an knowledge/information age. Although it may appear that the information age is upon us, we are now in the throes of the transition between the industrial age and the information age. Rick’s talk will address the impact of this transition on the manufacturing world, its effect on the way we work and the tools we use to accomplish our work, and how the adventurous might be able to take advantage of this transition to secure a competitive advantage.
