Investors demand clear succession plans, and a clearer view of the organization's human capital strengths and weaknesses. At the same time, the compliance burden grows ever heavier.

Building on the success of the SAP Finance Best Practice Network - in operation since beginning of 2004 - we wanted to add a new dimension to the debate. So we have decided to launch the HR Best Practice Network, since there are significant similarities between HR and Finance challenges today: Both are moving beyond administration and becoming business partners, and look for ways to add value beyond efforts to save cost. As part of the two networks, we also aim to increase HR and Finance cooperation and interaction.
We would like to bring Senior Executives from leading European organizations together to work through the people challenges that beset their organizations. This is not about software features and functions, it is much more important than that. It is a key driver for all our organizations' success.
