Miller spent most of his active military career commanding line units, including the renowned 101st Airborne Division, developing new war fighting concepts and teaching, training, and leading soldiers and officers in a variety of field command assignments in Europe, the U.S., and the Republic of Vietnam, on the Army staff, and its Training and Doctrine Command. Presently, he is the president and founder of Miller Analytics, an independent consulting firm.
