Abstract: I often meet with policy-makers from different companies to talk about their businesses and IT systems. I find that they always have an intractable issue, i.e. they now need to provide services for the operation of their information systems that served their businesses in the past. Why is this the case? One of the reasons is that they deployed many information systems, it is effort-and-money-consuming to consolidate them, and it will be an inefficient “motley troop” even if they are integrated successfully. The other reason is that the modern business process should be more efficient and flexible to meet the demands of new services in a company, but the miscellaneous systems are not able to make quick response and their costs are considerable. Mr. Shang-ling Jui: the Happy time at SAP
My deepest impression to Mr. Jui since I got to know him several years ago is that he always does things energetically and efficiently with a strict and precise way. This may be a personality he developed from his study and work for dozens of years in Germany , as what a German engineer will be. Inevitably many people will be slightly “afraid” of him when they just come to know him. However, for long they will find that he is actually easy to approach and affable, and his honesty and frankness are very admirable and esteemed.
