Jianfeng Yan

Bio

Jianfeng Yan is a researcher at SAP Research China. He joined SAP at the beginning of 2008. Before that, He had worked for Intel ICSD team from 2004, mainly focusing on research and development of high performance XML processor based on VM technique and Intel architecture.

Jianfeng received his PhD degree in computer science from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, China in 2004. The dissertation is named "Research on Multimedia Data Model and Implementation Technology Based on Layered Description", focusing on building a unified multimedia data model, which provides the description of complicated multimedia data and provides the necessary support for the layered description of multimedia and discuss the rules and method of spatio-temporal abstraction of multimedia data under multi-granulites. In 2000 and 1997, Jianfeng recieved his M.S. degree and B.S. degree from Xi Dian University, Xi'an, China. He has published more than 20 research papers in Multimedia database management, Data mining and Content Based Retrieval related research fields.
