Gene Zhang

Bio

Jin (Gene) Zhang is a researcher at SAP Research China who joined SAP in March, 2008. Before that, he was a software development manager responsible for the development for the API and framework of Autodesk? InventorTM at Autodesk China Research and Development Center. Jin Zhang received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Fudan University, Shanghai, China. He has broad research interests as well as rich experience in software development. He was a primary contributor or designer in various research projects. Part of them are listed as below:

  • As one of the primary researchers, completed the National 863 Project "Demonstration Project of Shanghai E-Gov', which produced a new robust framework and solution to effectively reduce the risk and cost of integration of heterogeneous systems by rule engine, web-service, UDDI, visualization and other technologies. Obtained the 2nd Class Science and Technology Advancement Award of Shanghai 2004.
  • As one of the primary researchers, completed the National 863 Project "Visual Online Digital Library System'. Obtained the 2nd Class Science and Technology Advancement Award of Shanghai 2002.
  • As one of the primary researchers, completed the National 863 Project "The Demonstration Project of Information Services on Shanghai City Community'. Obtained the 2nd Class Science and Technology Advancement Award of Shanghai 2001.
  • As the project manager & designer, cooperating with Shanghai Futures Exchange designed & developed "Advanced Futures Exchange System', which was considered as the prototype of next generation exchange system for Shanghai Futures Exchange.
