SAP Labs China
Founded in 1997 as SAP Development Center China, SAP Labs China was later officially established on November 20, 2003. As one of the ten SAP global Research and Development Centers, SAP Labs China provides the end-to-end product development, specifically focusing on small and midsize enterprise solutions (including SAP Business All-in-One, SAP Business One and SAP Business ByDesign), Business User solutions (including Information Discovery & Distribution, Information Management and Performance Optimization Application), Business Suite solutions (including ERP Financials, Globalization and Industry Business Unit) and Custom Development. SAP Labs China plays a key role in designing and development, as well as leading products delivery for global, Asia Pacific and Chinese markets. In retrospect, SAP Labs China boasts to be one of the fastest growing subsidiaries of SAP. Within 2004 alone, the number of employees doubled and has since increased by 50% per year. In 2008, joined by Business Object Shanghai Development Center, SAP Labs China has become the third largest SAP R&D center besides German headquarter, with the diversified technical power and over 1,200 software engineers and solution architects. With its outstanding IT workforce, seasoned industry experts, a highly experienced management team and the first-class R&D environment, SAP Labs China has become the world class R&D center and holds sound reputation and thought leadership in China business software industry. With the completion of the new campus located in the Shanghai Pudong Software Park and the establishment and perfection of SAP Global Service Center branch in Chengdu, SAP Labs China will further strengthen its commitment to the regional and local market, with continuous investments into China. SAP Labs China has become the important fulcrum of SAP strategic solution development. Instead of solely relying on software outsourcing projects, SAP Labs China encompasses the entire product life cycle from market research, prototyping, to development, rollout and support.
