This documentation is for customers and partners who want to have their SAP Training delivery or certification test at non-SAP locations.

Included are details for opening access to the SAP Training infrastructure via the internet, how to install the Citrix ICA Client and what prerequisites are needed. This gives you the possibility to evaluate together with your IT department whether your local security rules are in-line with SAP's remote education requirements.

Customer on-site training delivery

The following recommendations will allow (local) customer administration to setup remote training events:

If the training event is the first to be delivered at the customer site, special attention should be applied to the event.

Please ensure that this documentation is distributed, read and understood internally by the customers training administrator and the customers IT contact. Evidence of the required connectivity, bandwidth and latency tests must be reviewed with your SAP Training administrator. Customer supplied locations (hotels, etc.) must also be checked.

Presently, the use of wireless connections for the delivery of SAP Training events is not supported by SAP. Attempts to deliver wireless events are the decision of the local training administration and all support issues for this venue of delivery are the responsibility of the local training administration.

It should also be noted that some countries presently require special approval and testing for events that are planned for hotels and other locations that are not within the specific customer location. This is due to additional variables, bandwidth load and available technical support inherent to this venue as opposed to a customer site.

Customer on-site certification delivery

Many of our customers and partners who make use of our Customer Specific Education Offer are also interested to ensure that the learned subjects are understood and memorized by the participants. We offer therefore the possibility to do an assessment test based on our Certification Program. Please talk to your SAP account manager whether your specific training covers the subjects a certain certification test demands.

We offer this certification also at your location via a mobile certification server. The server can work offline in 2 modes:

1. All pc's (window XP or vista based) of the participants are linked via local switches directly to our certification (DHCP) server. The network configuration of the pc's have to be changed to "automatic IP delivery"
2. The certification server is linked into your local network and receives from your server the IP number or will be configured to a fixed IP number out of the same domain as the participant's pc's..

In both cases the client pc's have to allow the download of a zip file from the server, the expansion of it and storage to the local C-drive. The certification application (written in JAVA) is then called via a bat file from the server. There is no access to the windows registry db done. The application can be deleted after the test.
