SAP UNIVERSITY ALLIANCES PROGRAM:
BENEFITS FOR SAP PARTNERS & CUSTOMERS
Growing the workforce of tomorrow
To a large extent, technology is the force that is driving the way we do business. How an organization leads a market that is rapidly changing and how it can constantly evolve and innovate is determined by the workforce that is leading this change.
As technology has become a critical component in organizational strategy and execution, the challenge lies in finding educated employees that have both the management and technical skills to help drive change.
By providing advanced technologies, such as those supporting next-generation IT architectures around key business processes, the SAP University Alliances Program helps universities and technical institutes develop highly qualified graduates who contribute to the core competencies of their future employers.
Shortage of SAP trained talents
The need for more business and technology savvy individuals has increased dramatically over the last few years, especially in the demand for SAP professionals, as reported by ComputerWeekly/SSL analysis and ZDnetAsia. This growth is a direct result of the increasing adoption of SAP business applications by enterprises to drive efficiency and growth.
In response to such pressing market conditions, SAP launched the SAP University Alliances Program, which provides universities with access to one of the world’s leading software for students to learn about business process management within an academic environment. Through useful hands-on experience, students become familiar and ready to work with SAP enterprise systems when they enter the workforce.
The Program helps to develop and enhance SAP skills among students, helping them to understand fundamental concepts, transition quickly and easily into the more in-depth training and SAP certification courses like the “Integrated Business Process for mid-sized enterprises/mid-market organizations enabled by SAP Best Practices” or otherwise known as the SAP BPERP certification course. This is offered to the University Alliances members’ students at a highly reduced rate which consequently lowers the total cost of ownership for SAP’s Partners and customers when they eventually hire these qualified talents who would have been SAP-certified..
Supporting the Ecosystem
SAP believes in building a well-rounded ecosystem where individuals, customers and partners are brought together to foster collaboration and to ensure ongoing innovation. The SAP University Alliances Program supports this by building a continuous pipeline of SAP skills for customers, partners and SAP through the development and enhancement of SAP skills among students, helping them to understand fundamental concepts, and through training workshops and SAP certification courses.
