    • Create a workflow-driven change request.
    • John Miller is a product management specialist and is responsible for initiating master data changes.
    • John opens his SAP software to request a change to the company’s material data.
    • Product management has decided to change the classification of one of its items – a pump – from “special design” to “standard design.”
    • The software lets business users like John make changes to material master data, while ensuring that the change complies with pre-defined data
    • standardization and governance rules.
    • John starts by searching for the material he needs to change.
    • He can search for the data several ways, including a full-text search or a direct search from a drop-down menu.
    • Since he knows what he’s looking for, John types in the item name.
    • The search produces one result, which John identifies as the correct material by looking at the data attributes.
    • He selects the material and clicks the change button.
    • First, John needs to complete mandatory fields in the change request form.
    • He adds a description, sets the priority, and adds a due date and a reason for the change.
