In this demonstration, you’ll see how SAP Talent Visualization by Nakisa can help you set up a competency framework for sustainable business performance; enable employees to align their skills and career aspirations with your organization’s future needs; and track upcoming vacancies for high-impact positions and develop deeper bench strength to mitigate their loss. Set up a competency framework for sustainable business performance. Angela Santis is an HR manager. She wants to review key roles in her organization, so she can help ensure their requirements are well defined, and that they are always staffed with the best and most appropriate talent. Using the job architecture feature of SAP Talent Visualization by Nakisa, which groups similar positions together based on common competencies, Angela reviews the competency profile for the Executive Job Family. She finds that the profile lacks some of the competencies that are required for an executive position. So, she quickly adds competencies, drawing from the SAP competency catalog. Next, she drills down to the Executive Job Family and views the types of jobs that belong there. In the job architecture, the competencies are inherited by all positions that belong to the common group. In this case, the competency Angela added for the Executive Job Family has been inherited by the Director-level group. As a result, Angela can quickly and systematically lay out the competency framework for thousands of positions in her organization. That way, she can ensure that her organization has the right competencies to sustain optimal business performance. Enable employees to align their skills and career aspirations with your organization’s future needs. Karen Miller is an account executive in the sales department. She reviews her current competency profile from SAP ERP HCM. SAP Talent Visualization by Nakisa offers Karen multiple ways of finding higher-level jobs within the organization. She performs a profile match to see which jobs she is best-suited for. From the results, she identifies an Executive Director job that she aspires to. So, she adds “Executive Director” to her preferred jobs list. Then, Karen uses the solution’s competency gap analysis to see what she needs to qualify for the director position. That way, she and her manager, along with HR, can plan her development path accordingly. Empowering employees to take an active part in their career and growth development helps foster employee retention and engagement. Track upcoming vacancies for high-impact positions and develop a deeper bench strength to mitigate their loss. In this example, our HR manager, Angela Santis, reviews her dashboard to see which positions are lacking in bench strength. To build them up, she starts by creating successor pools. These pools allow her to group together candidates who have the right credentials for a given job category. It’s as easy as following a step-by-step wizard. And, she can nominate multiple candidates in a single step. Then, Angela can compare potential successors using a nine-box matrix. From this matrix she can review and rank candidates based on a variety of criteria. Angela also uses the dashboard to view succession status metrics within the hierarchy of her organization. That way, she can see which positions have low bench strength. And, she can drill down to view detailed succession plans. Angela notices there is a director position with low bench strength. So, she uses the profile-match feature to identify additional candidates. The profile-match feature searches the entire workforce for candidates who have the competencies required for the director position. Drilling down further, Angela reviews a candidate’s talent profile, including their assessment and career aspirations. She identifies Karen Miller as a qualified candidate for the director position and nominates her as a potential successor. The information is stored in SAP ERP HCM, so it can be easily retrieved and managed when needed. With SAP Talent Visualization by Nakisa, you can quickly and objectively mitigate the impact of losing talent, to help ensure that you are building a sustainable talent pipeline. SAP Talent Visualization by Nakisa, a fully integrated SAP solution, harnesses the information in your SAP ERP Human Capital Management solution, and turns it into valuable insights on your employees and their growth potential. And, it gives employees, managers, and HR professionals access to the information and functionality they need to support and align both organizational and individual objectives. As a result, SAP Talent Visualization by Nakisa helps you build a sustainable talent pipeline to drive continued success in the future.
