    • Arla Foods is a dairy company. We are the largest – currently the largest – dairy company in Europe, especially large in Denmark, Sweden, UK, which is our three home markets. We have business of roughly 8 billion Euros. The reason for why we selected the solution that we came up with was basically a result of two things. First that we have SAP as a preferred strategic supplier, which has the impact that it makes integration easier, and to some extent cheaper. And furthermore, that we had an initial screening in the market in different suppliers providing solution for product and portfolio management. And it was more or less obvious at that point in time that SAP had the solution that fit to our requirements. The two major challenges in a project like this, first of all, the challenge is that we need to have top management commitment to a project like this and to a solution like that. Because if we don't have top management commitment, there would be a lack of commitment to ensure that we get that business anchoring in the middle management – in the business afterwards, where we really want to achieve the business benefits. From a more technical perspective, one of the challenges would be that it requires a number of integrations to the other applications that we have already up and running: financials, HR, portal, business intelligence, et cetera. Our teamwork with SAP during project was excellent. We had a great team there with the right competencies on board and with the right network back into the SAP organization in case there were some issues that required special attention, especially because we are talking about a relatively new solution here where a number of, if not unknown issues, then at least new questions and ideas as well could be considered. So, it was a great opportunity to have that collaboration with SAP during that project. The benefit that we expect to get out of it is obviously that we get a much better overview of what is actually going on. Which products are in the pipeline? Which products are actually going on in the middle of the execution? What is the status of an individual product? Which products need to be taken especially care about? So, just having the overview in itself has a lot of value because it enables us to be better at making the right decisions. But, furthermore, as we now have a much more detailed picture of each individual project, it's much easier to pay attention to the products that really need attention and to have less attention on the rest.
