More than 3,000 Professional Service Providers Worldwide Turn to SAP

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - September 08, 2008 - SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced continuing momentum in the adoption of the SAP® for Professional Services solution portfolio and of SAP solutions in professional services organizations with the addition of more than 700 new customers during the last two years including HCL, Lionbridge, RWD, Sotheby's Holdings, Wipro and other service companies. SAP now has more than 3,000 professional services companies among its customer base. The announcement was made at the IT Service Management Forum 2008, taking place from September 7 - 13 in San Francisco.

SAP's professional services customer base spans the entire sector's landscape, including consulting firms, audit and tax firms, IT services providers, outsourcers, staffing agencies and legal firms large and small. SAP is helping professional services providers achieve a better, more efficient approach to today's business realities. IT legacy systems are being replaced by SAP systems to bring talent supply chain management, service delivery innovation and superior client experience to the forefront. These capabilities are giving professional services providers the ability to get noticed and deliver results in a complex and competitive environment.

Premier auction house Sotheby's will rely on SAP for Professional Services to provide superior services to a globally dispersed set of clients. RWD Technologies, a professional services organization that develops, supports, trains, and provides consulting and integration services for major multinational corporations, replaced outdated legacy systems with SAP for Professional Services. To support its goals for rapid growth and global expansion, the company was looking for a scalable, integrated IT solution with rich functionality and global coverage.

"SAP recognized early on that building client, talent and service capabilities into IT systems was going to be a top-line concern for professional service providers," said Matthew Horenkamp, industry principal, SAP Americas. "We have made tremendous inroads into the professional services industry by listening to customers and working with them to face the business challenges that lie ahead of them."

SAP for Professional Services is an industry-specific solution portfolio that provides a robust and complete answer to the unique needs of organizations that offer project-based and managed services. By addressing specific consulting, audit and tax, legal and IT services needs, SAP for Professional Services delivers capabilities for the entire lifecycle - from new business development to project management, staffing and billing. It enables companies to build an integrated, end-to-end environment where information flows freely. With this functionality, companies can effectively manage opportunities, resources, revenues and costs, as well as deliver the high-quality, on-time results that clients demand. In particular SAP has invested in enhancing its solution for human capital management, SAP® ERP HCM, to help customers quickly find the right people, develop and leverage their talents, and better align their efforts with corporate objectives. With the solution portfolio, companies also have access to the facts, figures and functions they need to put the right people in the right places at the right time.
