Companies can collaborate with SAP Africa Region in one of the following categories:
- Service Partners
Service Partners are strong consulting companies offering services to SAP accounts. Typically these are smaller companies than Alliance Partners and their focus is on the local market. A sufficient number of certified consultants are also required at this level.
For SAP Africa Region, there are some overriding guidelines to be used in determining the selection of Service Partners.
- SAP Partner – Services: Special Expertise Partners
This sub-category of Service Partners has been developed for organisations that specialise in a particular SAP solution or industry, and are viewed by the market as solution experts in their field. These partnerships are aimed at specific market / solution segments and assist in building market share in these areas.
- SAP Partner – Services: Resource Partners
This is not a body shop type partnership. Resource Service Providers are small/midsize companies that have a core focus on developing SAP skills
and capacity building within the country. At this level, these organizations do
not typically prime large SAP implementations, their role is rather to provide resources onto SAP projects, usually through sub-contracting to SAP and SAP Service Partners. This process facilitates skills development and capacity building within the country thus enabling them to build capability and gain sufficient experience to become fully accredited Service Partners.
- Business Development Partners
This category of partnership can be made up of an individual or a company. They extremely well networked and seen in many instances as trusted advisors within a specific industry/sector or and a country.
