VIENNA, Austria - October 27, 2009 - Atos Origin. “As an established leader in sustainability, Atos Origin is pleased to present one of its solutions for REACH on SAP EcoHub as part of the launch of the SAP sustainability map. SAP EcoHub is a tangible way for SAP customers to see the breadth of the solution range designed to deliver business value. With this initiative, SAP created a platform that stimulates a synergy effect where its partners can demonstrate sustainability solutions to share with each other and to offer customers various opportunities in one glance. Additional Atos Origin solutions will be added to SAP EcoHub over the coming weeks.”
Giles Hutchins, global head of Sustainability Solutions, Atos Origin

Carbon Disclosure Project. “The Carbon Disclosure Project helps some 2,500 major companies globally to measure and report their greenhouse gas emissions and climate change strategy data to provide the marketplace, investors and policy makers with data to benchmark companies as we move towards a low carbon economy. We're excited to be a part of SAP's leading sustainability ecosystem and are working closely with SAP and other partners to release the next generation global climate change data and reporting platform. SAP EcoHub is an ideal place to learn more about this initiative and access the valuable information we provide.”
Paul Dickinson, chief executive officer, The Carbon Disclosure Project

To create competitive advantage and ensure business continuity, they need a holistic approach to address mandates occurring throughout the compliance lifecycle. Together, CSC and SAP are helping companies unify business processes and supporting infrastructure to efficiently collect regulatory information from across the enterprise, verify it and then distribute timely and accurate reports to the many regulatory agencies that monitor their business activities.”
Bob Welch, president ,Chemical, Energy and Natural Resources Group, CSC

For nearly two decades, EMC has implemented environmental initiatives in operations and product development. SmartOps. “We are proud to have SAP Enterprise Inventory Optimization by SmartOps included in the SAP ecosystem for sustainability as it is essential in helping companies achieve and maintain a sustainable supply chain. Inventory that is properly sized to demand timing and risk across all the supply chain stages reduces waste from expired, obsolete or returned inventory and minimizes the stress placed on manufacturing and transportation resources. The SAP sustainability map brings together all the pieces required for meeting sustainability goals and having a real impact on our planet.”
Sridhar Tayur, founder and chief executive officer, SmartOps

VMware. “People often overlook that virtualization is a green technology. For example, our technology has resulted in energy savings roughly equivalent to the total energy consumption of Denmark for one year. VMware is delighted to be a part of SAP EcoHub because it makes it easy for customers to learn how VMware's solutions support SAP's sustainability efforts. A VMware virtualized environment optimizes the utilization of IT resources and can reduce energy consumption.
