SAP IT SERVICE MANAGEMENT ACHIEVES "PINKVERIFY" SEAL OF APPROVAL
June 9, 2009 – The SAP IT Service Management (SAP ITSM) application recently achieved the "PinkVERIFY" seal of approval for eight processes by meeting strict compliance with the information technology infrastructure library (ITIL) standard for managing the business of IT. PinkVERIFY is the only independent certification program worldwide recognizing software that supports the definitions and workflow requirements of specific IT service management processes through a licensed logo.
As a result of the verification, SAP customers can now leverage true IT best practices that are embedded within the familiar and highly integrated functionalities of the SAP Business Suite software. In addition to integrating IT processes with SAP's finance software, for example, SAP ITSM integrates application life-cycle management within the SAP Solution Manager application management solution, providing robust control over design, implementation, and operations of SAP and non-SAP applications and infrastructure.
The PinkVERIFY status underscores the SAP's commitment to industry standards, as well as its goal to provide fully integrated end-to-end business processes.
