SAP Response To Acquisition Rumors In The German Press
June 22, 2009 – In an interview last Friday with the German weekend magazine "Welt am Sonntag," quoting unnamed SAP management sources who stated that the company has had initial talks about a pending acquisition between €1.2 billion and €1.5 billion, Léo Apotheker was asked about SAP's future acquisition strategy and he twice replied, "You better check your sources on these rumors. They are rumors."
SAP, therefore, questions the origins of the headlines in the news today about a potential acquisition by SAP.
