Currently, customers in over 120 countries run more than 69,700 installations of SAP software. In 2003, our portfolio of solutions grew to include new applications, new capabilities, and new industry-specific solutions. But perhaps the biggest news of the past year was the rollout of the SAP NetWeaver integration and application platform, in the context of the planned evolution toward Enterprise Services Architecture, SAP’s blueprint for services-based architecture. SAP NetWeaver now serves as the foundation for virtually all SAP solutions.

Another major evolution in SAP’s portfolio is the increased focus on industry-specific solutions, to answer customer demand for solutions that are aimed at specific business issues and that deliver accelerated return on investment (ROI).
