Creating Value-Generating SAP Support with End-to-End Solution Operations

Join us at one of the SAP Active Global Support road shows, taking place all around the globe in 2008.

In 2007 there were more than 40 SAP Active Global Support road shows worldwide. Over 1,100 customers attended on these events, getting updates on SAP's support strategy especially end-to-end solution operations, SAP Solution Manager and the SAP Active Global Support (SAP AGS) premium service portfolio.

This year AGS is continuing its event series to maintain the information flow on new, very useful support topics for existing and potential customers.

The SAP Active Global Support road shows 2008 will cover the following topics:

  • End-to-End solution operations and Run SAP: The methodology for end-to-end solution operations – Given the complexity of today's SAP solutions – which typically integrate software from other vendors in a highly distributed landscape, managing solution applications has become increasingly difficult. By implementing SAP end-to-end solution operations, IT organizations and business process experts can achieve greater efficiency, transparency, and security in their application management. Run SAP methodology provides a proven method to optimize the implementation and on-going management of end-to-end solution operations and the focus is on application management, business process operations, and administration of the SAP NetWeaver technology platform. With Run SAP, the SAP Active Global Support organization has defined a clear, comprehensive methodology for the implementation of end-to-end solution operations, and the on-going management of SAP solutions through the complete life cycle. Run SAP provides the ability to manage complexity, risk, costs, and resources adequately.


  • SAP Enterprise Support – Because of the increasing complexity of solution landscapes, every customer has mission-critical applications along with integration needs. SAP provides advanced support options that mirror growth in size and complexity. SAP Enterprise Support is a key enabler for integrated and standardized end-to-end solution operations for our large enterprise customers. The key focus of SAP Enterprise Support is the holistic application and life-cycle management of the customer's landscape and applications. This includes all levels of code: standard code, custom development code, customer-specific code, and partner solutions. Key elements of SAP Enterprise Support include:


    • End-to-end solution operations standards and tools
    • Run SAP operations methodology

  • SAP Solution Manager (Enterprise edition): The application management platform – Facilitates support for distributed systems. This functionality covers all key aspects of solution deployment, operation, and continuous improvement. A centralized, robust application management and administration solution, SAP Solution Manager combines tools, content, and direct access to SAP, increasing the reliability of solutions and lower total cost of ownership. SAP Solution Manager enterprise edition provides the additional functionality required for SAP Enterprise Support services. It serves as a collaboration platform between the SAP Enterprise Support customer and the SAP Active Global Support organization, and enhances the SAP Solution Manager with functions tailored for enterprise support and SAP Enterprise Support services.


  • SAP AGS premium service engagement portfolio – SAP is committed to ensuring that your core business processes are always available and running at peak efficiency.
