Andy Roddick
Andy Roddick began the 2009 season with a promising start by reaching the semifinals of the first Grand Slam of the year – the Australian Open. Recently, for the first time in his career, Andy reached the fourth round at the second Grand Slam of 2009 – at Roland Garros, where he lost to local hero Gael Monfils in straight sets 6-4, 6-2, and 6-3.
2009 Continues as a Promising Year
Andy continued his success during his grass court season, but unfortunately, was forced to retire briefly with an injury – a mild sprain to his right ankle – in his semifinals match at the Aegon Championships at the Queens Club, London. After receiving treatment, he has resumed practice in preparation for Wimbledon.
