SAP Research Centers (SRCs) and Campus-based Engineering Centers (CECs) study IT trends and deploy new technologies in real-life environments to determine their potential business value for SAP. As a result, SAP Research is able to introduce new technology and concepts for future solutions that will be strategically important to SAP – and SAP customers.

SAP Research spreads its research and development activities around the globe. Currently, our thriving network comprises of 13 centers in nine countries, our headquarters in Walldorf, and numerous partners from the business and academic worlds.

With a presence on almost every continent – and plans for further expansion – SAP Research intends to gather and exchange innovative knowledge worldwide, while remaining close to customers and SAP field groups. In this way, research activities can be adapted quickly to both global and local requirements – and results can be implemented to further develop and improve SAP's solution portfolio.
