CEC Dresden, Germany
The Dresden region, also referred to as "Silicon Saxony," is located in the eastern part of Germany, close to the German-Polish and German-Czech borders. SAP Research aims to capitalize on this fact by turning the Campus-based Engineering Center (CEC) Dresden into the company's hub for future research collaboration with companies and academics from the new EU member states of Eastern Europe. CEC Dresden is located close to the campus of the Dresden University of Technology.
CEC Dresden also manages the Future Factory Initiative living lab.

CEC Dresden finds itself in a prospering environment perfectly suited for a research center of its kind. The Dresden metro area is the home of production facilities and research labs of major semiconductor engineering and manufacturing companies. Global players, as well as a considerable amount of small and midsize high tech businesses, constitute excellent cooperation opportunities for SAP Research. In addition, TU Dresden has been a longstanding loyal, beneficial, and faithful partner of SAP Research. Together with TU Dresden, CEC Dresden offers a Ph.D. program to highly qualified students.
