As a global business leader, SAP recognizes our responsibility to contribute to the communities in which we live and work. We believe the private sector plays a vital role in generating strong economies, creating a level playing field, and building an environment that embraces education, technology, and innovation.
SAP focuses funding for corporate citizenship in two critical areas: education and governance.
- Education – As a key driver of innovation and the growth of communities and economies – fundamentals on which businesses depend – education is an essential part of SAP's approach to community engagement.
- Governance – Transparency and integrity are basic values on which SAP's solid reputation is built. We maintain and enhance our reputation by adhering to the Code of Business Conduct for Employees – and by supporting programs that promote transparency and governance.
Global and Local Roles and Responsibilities
SAP's corporate citizenship program operates at both global and local levels through:
- Global Corporate Citizenship – Sets the global guidelines for SAP's corporate citizenship activities and oversees the measurement and reporting of all activities
- Subsidiary support – Develops and implements programs that align with the corporate focus areas and guidelines
- Global partners – Provide SAP with an opportunity to play a role at the global level while contributing to the impact and success of our global and local programs
