SAP understands that education is a key force driving innovation and the growth of communities and economies. We therefore believe that it is critical that all individuals have the opportunity to reach their full potential and create their own futures. As part of SAP's ongoing commitment to contribute to the evolution of tomorrow's economy, we support educational initiatives implemented through the following global programs, as well as through initiatives at the national and local levels:

UN World Food Programme (WFP) Food for Education Program – The UN WFP, a frontline logistics agency in the fight against global hunger, is a valued SAP customer whose mission becomes increasingly important and urgent. SAP supports the following initiatives of its international universal school nutrition program, which aims to ensure every hungry child has at least one meal every day:
- A blog, www.sapfeedingknowledge.com, that provides up-to-date information about the program and SAP participation
- A corporate matching program
- Donations in lieu of SAP conference giveaways;
- A donation program with the SAP Developer Network and Business Process Expert Community, an online community of more than a million of our customers, partners, developers, and employees. These IT and business professionals – living and working around the world – share their expertise and their lessons learned about the best practices involved in using SAP solutions. Program members participate in a recognition program that awards points for contributions to blog posts, articles, code samples, tutorials, videos, and forum posts. Top contributors are recognized upon reaching point-milestones with the prize of direct donations to the Food for Education program.

FIRST LEGO League (FLL) – SAP seeks to recognize and cultivate the innovative spirit of children through our participation in and support of FIRST LEGO League. SAP employees worldwide engage with their communities as team leaders and as mentors, helping children recognize their own skills and creativity.

SAP University Alliances – The SAP University Alliances program works with educational institutions around the world to create, capture, organize, and disseminate intellectual capital – helping to establish SAP as a thought leader and educational force across the globe.
