Corporate Citizenship:
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
At SAP, our efforts to contribute to the larger community are manifested in our employee volunteerism, strategic philanthropic funding, and partnerships with nonprofit organizations that support, develop, and implement initiatives focused on education, innovation, and business ethics initiatives.
Organizations and Projects We Support
Regional Efforts
SAP and its employees apply the same core values that have led to the company's success for four decades – customer focus, quality, product excellence, integrity, commitment, and passion – to their communities by giving generously of their time, knowledge, and money. Applying the collective expertise, resources, and commitment of our people through local programs generates growth and economic value across neighborhoods, nations, and industries and on a larger scale to burgeoning virtual communities and online networks spanning the globe.
- United States, Canada, and Latin America – In the Americas, SAP employees participate in programs that support a wide range of causes. For example, employees in North America participate in Month of Service, which includes projects that range from school renovations to tutoring programs and celebrates employee commitment to year-round civic action. Employees in Argentina dedicate their time to the SOLYDAR initiative, improving the lives of children in their region.
- Europe, Middle East, and Africa – SAP AG, one of the main employers in the Rhein-Neckar region, funds various nonprofit organizations and hosts the employee volunteer program SAPlings. In Africa, SAP sponsors the "Convention on Business Integrity" in Nigeria and partners with the African Drive Project in South Africa.
- Asia Pacific Japan – In this rapidly growing region, SAP Labs India works with the HOPE Foundation and within their own SAPPORT initiative to improve the education and well-being of young people.
Local country sites provide more information on these and other local programs all over the globe.
